A Night in Carroll Gardens is all going down a ~10 minute walk from where Haley + Josh live, off 2nd and Henry. Whether you’re coming via the G, or from across the country, maybe you’ll want to explore spring in our neighborhood before and after our time together.
Here are the best spots (in addition to our venue, Frankies):
- Brooklyn Granary & Mill (link) for pastries. They mill everything onsite. Everything’s good. Closed on Sundays.
- Tortelli (link) for fresh pasta made daily. If you’re eating to stay, they have a few tables, and the Tagliatele / Ragu is the best. You can also buy pasta to go (we use their spaghetti to make Gochujang Noodles).
- F&F Pizzeria (link). Same owners as Frankies, right next to where our evening will be going down. Fantastic slices and pies, better than Baby Luc’s.
- 🪩 Dae (link). Our afterparty location. A coffee shop by day, bar by night, Korean-adjacent. They serve brunch on the weekend and the food and cocktails are both better than they need to be.
- 6 Restaurant (link). If you want to splurge on a nice date night, you cannot do better in the neighborhood than this. If you go with the pre-fixe, choose the scallops.
- Mister Cheeks (link). A cut above your average coffee shop in the area, usually has space open available in the back. Liz’s Book Bar is cute, but harder to get a seat at.
- Swoony’s (link) for a burger.
- Dolce (link) for gelato.
- Nabila’s (link) for Lebanese.
- Untable (link) for Thai.
- Shan (link) for Chinese.
- Mozz Lab (link) for mozz.
- For locals: ACQ (link) for fresh bread, only open Fri & Sat 4-7pm, Carroll Gardens Fish Market (link) for fish, The Meat Hook (link) for meat,
